Beloved wife and mother, age 94, passed away September 22, 2013.  She was born May 6, 1919, in Marinette, WI.  Dorothy worked for the State of Michigan for 18 years, retiring in 1981.  She enjoyed flowers, gardening and animals.

Surviving are:  daughters, Sally (Robert) Parrott, and Linda Hazel; 5 grandchildren, William (Mary) Archer, Michelle (Kevin) Carrasco, Bethany (William) Miller, William F. (Anamarie) Hazel, and Diane Hazel; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and her special dog and companion, Buddie.  She was preceded in death by husbands, Harold Rittich in 1962 and Floyd DeWaters in 1994, as well as several siblings.  The family wishes to thank Dorothy’s caregiver, Marlene Pugh for many years of compassionate care.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, with Pastor Janice Hite officiating.  Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until service time on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Area Humane Society in memory of Dorothy DeWaters.

    My sympathy to you, Linda and Sally, in the loss of your Mother. It is so good to see this beautiful picture of her. I can see her in both your faces. She was a lucky woman to have such fine women as her daughters. I wish you good memories.
