Age 86, of Lansing, MI, passed away on August 12, 2013.  She was born on September 21, 1926 to William and Martha Irene Dollarhite.  She was employed with the Lansing School District as a Food Service Manager at Pattengill Middle School and Eastern High School for 15 years, and she was a former member of the Pilot Club.

Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Don; a son, Jim (Dee) Blanchard; a daughter, Carolyn King; 3 grandchildren, Don and Dan Blanchard, Lee King; a great-granddaughter, Ashley; 2 great-great-grandsons, Wyatt and James; sister, Phyllis Barnes; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by siblings Bill, Larry, and Karen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with The Rev. Dr. Don Green of Parker Memorial Baptist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Summit Cemetery, Williamston, MI.  Pallbearers will be:  Lee King, Jeff Finoccihio, Dan Blanchard, Don Blanchard, Corey Hart, James Blanchard, Bill Houghtaling. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

    I will miss my dear sister-in-law so much. We had many many wonderful times together. She taught me so much. Cooking being one, but the most valuable one was, unconditional love.
