She was the daughter of Leroy and Jesse (Tripp) Griffin, born November 15, 1926 in Meridian Twp., Ingham Co., MI and lived there as a young child, later moving to Holt and attending schools there. She married Robert Moore on February 1, 1947 in Lansing, MI. They were the parents of 7 children. She was a waitress/barmaid at Charlie’s Barn and Mason Bowling Lanes as well as Midway Tavern in Holt for many years before moving to Hesperia, MI in 1977 and then moving back to Mason after the death of her husband where she spent her remaining years. She was a wonderful cook, did lots of canning, picking vegetables and fruit and making preserves. She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Mason for several years. She loved keeping busy and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family members and friends tremendously.

Mrs. Moore was such a sweet lady. So many of us from the Mason Area Historical Society enjoyed visiting with her and sharing memories at our meetings and events. We will miss her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you mourn the loss of a woman who was so proud of the family she loved so much.
