John Szarka
Passed away, May 22, 2013 at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing. He was born July 8, 1925 in Bennington Twp., Michigan to Jasper and Angela Szarka.
John grew up in Ovid, moving to Laingsburg in 1965, and the last few years in Lansing and then at Hazel Findlay in St. Johns. He was a Tool and Die maker for many years.
John is survived by his children: Michael (Ronda) Szarka, Rosanne (Gene) Parker, Martin Szarka, Daniel (Rosemary) Szarka, Eva Britten, Mary (Steve) Rich, and Bruce (Marlene) Szarka; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wife Genevieve Szarka, and all of his siblings.
There will be a memorial service held 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Memorial visitation hours will be Tuesday 10:00-12:00 p.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Amputee Coalition, 900 East Hill Ave., Suite 290, Knoxville, TN 37915-2566.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He was such a neat guy. I remember all the pancakes he made for us each Sunday morning after church. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
