Naomi F. Green

Age 82, of Lansing, MI, passed away April 23, 2013. She was born July 20, 1930, in Lansing, daughter of Carl and Marie Fenner.

Naomi graduated from Eastern High School and went on to graduate in 1952 from the Sparrow Hospital School of Nursing. She then became a surgical and intensive care nurse at Sparrow. In 1969 she completed her BA at MSU and went on to be the director of Central Sterilization Supplies at the MSU Large Animal Clinic. She was on the national board of directors for the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Naomi was dearly loved by her many friends and family.

She is survived by her children, Thomas H. Green III (JoAnne) and Laura R. Green Gillis (Daniel); three grandchildren, Jared, Emily and Jeremy; and sister Rhonda Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Thomas H. Green, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Ezop officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation or the Fenner Nature Center.
